Kelsey & Chris's Vintage Inspired Destination Wedding

Kelsey & Chris have a special affinity for Maine so they decided to host a destination wedding in Maine.

They love taking day trips up from their home in Salem Massachusetts to hike and explore the local restaurants and dream of moving up that way in the future.

They were excited to have found Beech Hill Barn, a beautiful property in Pittston Maine that boasts sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and feels very private and tucked away on a mountaintop. The Barn and the home on the property, which the wedding party spent the weekend at, is perfect for a smallish (50-100 guests). There’s a beautiful pool and fire pit for after hours fun.

My favorite anecdote from this wedding was centered around Kelsey’s wedding gown. She purchased her dress, a vintage lace gown, with the idea of making some adjustments (adding sleeves, repairing some damaged lace etc). Kelsey’s grandmother Shirley was formerly a seamstress and she tirelessly worked to transform the dress to the wedding gown her youngest granddaughter’s dreams. Did I mention Kelsey and Chris were married on her grandparents 65th wedding anniversary to boot? Kelsey told us how special it was to her to have her grandmother put so much love and care into her gown. She said she felt so connect with her grandmother on her wedding day as a result.
